As we are preparing for what is going to be the largest growth spurt in Get in the Loop’s history, by a country mile, (details on this to follow soon) I thought it was time we tell people what has made our early success possible and let everyone know what our team @ Get in the Loop truly stands by!

Listen:

In every relationship whether it be with customers, competitors, collaborators or otherwise, you, as a company or individual have an end goal right?

Of course you do; our method at Get in the Loop to always achieving our goal is simple: attach our adversaries needs to our goal.

I was frustrated with people thinking small and the idea that someone always had to win. I do not believe this to be true, rather, I firmly believe that everyone can win. Our team believes our product is so flexible, our offering so scalable and beneficial that we go into every meeting ears first. Our purpose is to find out what our Partners, fundraisers, Members or charitable organizations want from the relationship and find a solution that exceeds their expectations. We can ensure we achieve these goals without ever having to make a broken promise.  If there is an issue, we help to resolve it, and then learn from it.  Because of this culture we have been fortunate to work with and generate revenue for the likes of Moxies, Sparkling Hill, Cabana, Boston Pizza, The Harvest Golf Club, Eveline Charles, Gallaghers Canyon, FlightCentre.ca and many other nationally recognized brands.

“Listen with an intent to understand”, there is a lot to be learned.

Learn:

Get in the Loop is succeeding in an industry cluttered with failure. In order to succeed we have to continually listen, learn, improve, and make up for what our competitors lacked. For our members, we eliminate the spam emails like other deal sites. What we do provide the deal user is quality content from quality Partners. Our program also allows for members to select “Loops” (industries) they want to hear from; members can individually opt to hear about golf, restaurant, spa, health or all.

For businesses, taking 50% of 50% like other deal programs was not sustainable… FYI to all you groupon, twingo, smartsally or whatever other daily deal programs you use, not only do you get spammed all year, the companies you eventually buy from, LOSE MONEY…  We decided to change that by building a premium membership for people who were active, super social and ultra responsible in their community. These are the demographics of what a Loop Member resembled; outgoing, regularly active individuals that were ready to buy a membership and receive reliable rewards on a regular basis. We learned from what the market was telling us; current “daily-deal” marketing programs were not sustainable.  We innovated the service and are now offering a year round program benefitting everyone who is In the Loop. No more one day sales, printing coupons, or bringing a coupon book with you.  With Get in the Loop you regularly receive daily and weekly offers from the best businesses in town, directly to your phone.  All you need to Get in the Loop is a “smart” phone and remember to bring it with you when you go to our business Partners to redeem.  If you are like me, you don’t go anywhere without your phone anyway!

Act Fast 

Acting fast has been the nature of Get in the Loop since the idea came to me. It took exactly 15 days for Get in the Loop to go from idea generation, feedback from friends, talking with golf courses, building an $800 website, and then selling my first Loop Membership 1 hour after turning the website live.  One mantra we have at Get in the Loop is that  “You miss every shot you don’t take” – Wayne Gretzky. Our team loves growing quickly and the new opportunities that have been presenting themselves. With this love comes a willingness to take risks, step outside the box and just do what feels right. Take for example our launch in our Second region Belgium. Does Belgium make logistic sense ? No, but it was an opportunity to learn and grow with a passionate team and we did it because we were confident we could make anything a success! When looking at tech you have two choices: act fast and get better or remain stable and eventually find a new job. We’re acting fast !

Truly Care:

Since that first day our Golf Partners believed in a young kid with a vision to change the way golf was marketed. These partners took a “chance” and by doing so provided an opportunity for a dream and vision to be recognized. Our team at Get in the Loop is very appreciative for this and takes this opportunity very seriously.  We are a passionate and compassionate team consisting of more than 11 unique individuals who have created a team culture of Truly Caring. We care about each other, our roles, our Partners & Customers, and also care to prove our believers right. Our philosophy here @ Get in the Loop is simple: Care about the people and companies you work with. It is also important to recognize that we are working in an industry   (“Discounts”) that has been, for a lack of better word, TRASHED and tarnished. There are too many deal of the day companies killing businesses bottom line, spamming e-mail boxes and too many customers not getting their previously purchased coupons honored. We knew that to grow a sustainable business we also had to care. We had to care about the businesses we worked with and to find a solution in which everyone wins…. Lucky for us, we did.

Businesses benefit, members get offers from quality and reliable partners, we host awesome events and the one thing we are most proud of, we give back to organizations and charities that share our passion!

Get in the Loop Launches Fundraising Program for Community Groups

For Matt Crowell, helping community groups raise money has always been a primary goal. “I remember all of the bottle drives we did as kids to raise money for out-of-town hockey tournaments and such. Even then I remember thinking that there has to be a better way.”

That better way has arrived, as Cowell and his team at Get in the Loop have launched their Fundraising Program, aimed directly at the community groups he was part of as a kid.

Get in the Loop is a mobile membership community offering Members access to exclusive last minute, daily and weekly deals to premium businesses that do not regularly discount. Depending on the Loops a Member has purchased, they have the opportunity to save money on golf, fine dining, spas, resorts, wineries and more.

The fundraising program is simple: each group receives customized marketing materials with a unique code attached. When someone purchases a Get in the Loop membership with this code, the association receives 25% of the purchase price. With memberships ranging from $39-$59, each purchase nets $10-$15 raised for the organization.

“Leveraging social media is something I didn’t have the advantage of while raising money as a kid, and we’re making sure our Fundraising Program is fully integrated,” said Crowell. ”In our short test market campaigns, we’ve seen individuals sell upwards of 25 memberships in very little time by taking advantage of social networks.”

The program is launching with five participants, including two minor hockey teams from Winfield and Kelowna, a Grade 6 Class from Glenmore Elementary, the Althletics program at Rutland Senior Secondary, and a girl named Helena raising money for a school trip to Holland.

“We’re looking for more groups to add to the program.” said Crowell.

Get in the Loop, not just discounts. ( Community)

People want to be treated with courtesy and respect, and expect exceptional service whenever and wherever they spend their hard earned dollars. People such as myself also like to receive a good deal and our team at Get in the Loop is excited to offer a service that was created to accommodate both.

I recently read that in 2012, 79.8% of adults used some form of coupon discount, yet, many find it embarrassing and are afraid of making themselves look poor or cheap; the expression “Keeping up with the Jones’,” comes to mind. In reality, people who take the time to clip, cut, and carry the coupons have the bigger picture in mind: that extra money can be saved and invested during their lifetime. This concept stands in stark contrast to the spur of the moment, fly by the seat of our pants spending habits that most of us late gen-x and y’s embrace. I should note here that although I love to save money, and use Get in the Loop regularly, as a “gen-y” I eat out 10-14 times a week….sigh.

With Get in the Loop we want to change the way businesses and consumers view offering and receiving deals. We didn’t like clipping, printing, paying upfront and having the disappointment of a lost or forgotten coupon when standing at the cashier’s till either. For this reason we have gone digital and are no longer required to carry cut-out coupons; now all we need is our handheld mobile device, that many of us seem to be attached to anyway.

Get in the Loop sells memberships to consumers, which provide them with access to exclusive deals offered by our business partners. Our partners love it because they’re bringing in customers who haven’t yet made that final decision on where to eat, shop, play or stay; and our members love it because they’re getting premium products at great prices. In this sense, our service is comparable to a loyalty program: consumers are rewarded by receiving free or discounted products and services from some of the best businesses in the city, while the businesses are rewarded for their exceptional service with new and return customers.

With membership fees that range from $3.00 – $5.00 per month ( $39 – $59 a year) , our community has found a sustainable marketing channel that allows members to enjoy discounts and savings while providing them with great experiences at premium locations.

For our business partners these clients are not only one-time discount-seekers, or coupon-clippers, they are Loop Members; a group of people who are highly active in their community, enjoy the finer things in life, and come together on a regular basis to have a great time, raise money and socialize.

The discount offer gets our members through the front door, but it’s our Partners products and service that keeps them coming back for more. We are building a community that benefits the consumer (people like you and I), our business partners, and the community. We are happy and proud to have found a way to truly “please everyone”.

GIVING BACK: MOXIES RESTAURANT LOOP EVENT

It is with great pleasure to announce that in collaboration with Moxie’s Grill & Bar Kelowna the Loop Community came together to raise over $750.00 for the BC Breast Cancer Foundation. It was a night filled with fun music, awesome food, and great deals while also benefiting a fantastic cause. I would like to thank all 140 people who attended the event; we are appreciative of the community we bring together and in our short history Get in the Loop has sold out each of the 4 events we have hosted. With each event we are able to contribute more to charitable causes and this is something we are definitely proud of.

You can expect to see a lot more events in the near future, our team loves to connect the Loop community and believes in giving back.

Why do we donate ? Since a very young age I have had a dream of running my own not for profit organization. A venture I could focus all of my energies on that would give back and help improve the lives of others. To achieve this dream I have set out to succeed in the for profit sector in hopes of one day being able to step away and focus on my passion helping others. Get in the Loop has grown so quickly we already have the unique opportunity to use our Member events to benefit great charitable causes. With each step we take forward our team is committed to not forget the past. Kelowna, BC – Getintheloop Marketing Ltd. has announced the launch of their membership discount service in Belgium, the first international expansion for the Okanagan-based startup. The new localized website Getintheloop.be offers an exclusive members area for access to discounts in all of Belgium with premium Wellness Centres, Spas, Resorts and high end B&B’s.

Based out of Kelowna, BC, Canada, Get in the Loop started in 2011, experiencing early traction with their exclusive golf discounts. Since then, the company has experienced rapid growth, expanded into other industries, and has now expanded internationally. Founder, Matt Crowell said, “We are thrilled to have launched our Membership into the Belgium market with our Relax Loop, as well as expanding offerings in our Kelowna market with the addition of our Restaurant and Staycation Loop.”

While Belgium may seem like an unusual choice for expansion, Crowell says it has been an immediate success. “I finished my Masters in Antwerp, and with the connections I had made with business owners, I knew the Belgian market was primed for a service like ours. We launched with 22 businesses participating, and the response has been fantastic.”

Get in the Loop has seen extensive growth to their membership over the past 2 years, and is excited to disrupt the discount industry. When asked about the differences between Get in the Loop and other discount websites, Crowell said, “We are different in two ways. First, our membership is focused on exclusive facilities that generally do not offer discounted rates such as higher-end restaurants, golf clubs and wineries. Second, unlike Groupon or Smarty Betty where you are bombarded with offers that don’t appeal to you, Get In The Loop members receive only the deals that they are interested in.”

Get in the Loop are offering a free 30-day trial membership for new Loop members and having previously hosted many successful events, Get in the Loop will be hosting a Loop Members event at Moxie’s in Kelowna on August 23rd, 2013, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
